Avanteam Organizational Chart

Role of the organizational chart

The organizational chart serves as the "backbone" of your application. It allows the system to understand your company structure to automate decisions:

Workflow Engine

By configuring a workflow with the dynamic role "N+1", Avanteam automatically identifies the hierarchical manager in the organizational chart.

View modes

The administrator can switch between:

  • "Macro" view: Departments only
  • "Micro" view: Departments + employees
  • Magnifying glass: Instant search for a department or employee
  • Zoom tools: To navigate complex structures
  • Navigation history: To return to previous selections

Creating and managing the structure

Creating organizational nodes

The administrator has comprehensive tools to evolve the structure:

  • Creation and Hierarchy: Create Directions, Departments or Centers. Each unit can be attached to a parent for unlimited tree structure.
  • Manager designation: Critical action consisting of appointing the head of a department, thus activating automatic validation circuits.

Reorganization (Drag & Drop)

  • Move an entire department or employee by simple drag and drop.
  • In case of transfer, the system offers to transfer ongoing cases.

Impact on business processes

The organizational chart is used by:

  • Validation workflows: Automatic routing to N+1, N+2
  • Hierarchical delegations: Automatic management of replacements
  • Search filters: Search documents by department
  • Reporting: Statistics by direction or department
  • Access rights: Visibility restriction according to organizational chart

Best practices

  • Keep up to date: Update the organizational chart as soon as organizational change occurs
  • Test workflows: After modification, verify that workflows route correctly
  • Document changes: Keep a history of important reorganizations
  • Communication: Inform users of organizational chart changes
