Simple and Advanced Search

In a rich document database, finding information quickly is crucial. Avanteam provides two levels of search.

Located in the top bar of the interface, it allows immediate keyword searches.

Global search bar

  • How it works: Enter a keyword, folder number, or client name in the text field.
  • Validation: Press the Enter key or click on the magnifying glass icon to launch the search.
  • Scope: The system searches the term in titles, references, and main metadata of records.

2. Advanced Search (Multi-criteria Filters)

Advanced search allows you to combine multiple criteria to precisely refine your results. It is accessible via a dedicated icon or an "Advanced Search" option.

Available search criteria

  • Period: Filter by date (e.g., "Created this year", "Modified last month").
  • Author: Find documents created or managed by a specific user.
  • Document type: Restrict the search to a module or form type (e.g., "Invoices", "Non-Conformities").
  • Status: Display only folders in a particular workflow state (e.g., "Validated", "In progress").
  • Full-Text Search: Avanteam also indexes the content of attachments (Word, PDF, Excel). The system will search for your keyword inside your documents themselves.
Business Case (Quality)

An external auditor asks to see all fire extinguisher control evidence from the year 2024.

  1. Go to Advanced Search.
  2. Select the "Safety Record" type.
  3. Add a Date criterion: "Between 01/01/2024 and 31/12/2024".
  4. Launch the search.
  5. Export the result to Excel to provide it to the auditor.
