Core Concepts

Avanteam is built on three pillars that are essential to understand.

Records

A Record is the file you are processing (a "Non-Compliance" form, an "Invoice", a "Contract").

  • It appears as a Form with tabs.
  • It contains fields to fill in (Text, Date, Dropdown list) and attachments.

  • Tip: Use the Office Module (drop zone) to drag and drop your Word/Excel/PDF files directly into the form.

Workflows (Processes)

A Workflow is the lifecycle of the record. It defines "Who should do What and When".

Workflow visualization

  • Task: When a record reaches your step (e.g., "Manager Validation"), you receive a notification (email/dashboard). This is a task to complete.
  • Actions: To move the record forward, open it and use the workflow action buttons (usually at the top or bottom of the page):
    • Validate / Approve: Sends the file to the next step.
    • Reject / Request correction: Returns the file to the sender.
    • Delegate: Transfers the task to another person.

Views (Lists and Tables)

A View is a way to visualize a set of records.

  • List View: A classic table (Excel-style) with filterable and sortable columns. Identify status icons to see progress.

  • View Actions: From a view, you can often:
    • Create a new file (+ New Button).

  • Export the list to Excel (Excel Icon).

  • Preview a record: Click on a row to display a quick preview without opening the complete form.
